Hehe... Even after racing... I got 22.9mpg for the tank... I just filled up the tank today. I usually average 24 - 25 mpg.

I was thinking that the first one tested did 5.0. I am sure you can get a 4.9 if you work at it since you have had a 5.0. Unfortunately, you can't get a weather and altitude adjusted to 500' 0-60 for comparability with grogan545 and I. But, what you can do is get a feel for whether your 0-60 times would be better or worse than recorded when adjusted by keeping track of your altitude and the pertinent weather conditions.

If your 545i has the Step, practice brake torquing. The Step is geared best for straight line acceleration out of all the available transmissions. Also, remain stock will help. There hasn't been any 545i I've seen with mods that have accomplished sub 5s. Znod and grogan545 are both stock.

What Mods can we do to get under 5 seconds?
None if you have a Step and don't want to add a supercharger. If you have a manual or an SMG, then get the Dinan lower rear-end and drag radials. With these two changes, you'd have to be dead not to get less than 5.0 given proper weather and altitude adjustment. Check out the "Straight-Line Performance" and "G-Meter Testing" links linked in my sig. All the "real" info on the forum about straight-line, meter testing, and many other things is in these threads. You should be able to get under 5.0 stock with a Step given proper technique and weather and altitude adjustments. To make such adjustments for 0-60, you will need to do about 30 timed, with a meter or on a drag strip, 1/4 mile passes and adjust them for weather and altitude. By the way, what is your altitude? High altitude, like hot/humid weather, will kill your times.
