It's not a "Costco" warranty - it's another company's plan (Century) sold, at a discount, to Costco members. No different that a plan you might purchase from 'xyz' warranty coverage at a discount because of a partnership with an organization (say) like BMWCCA [as is done with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company automobile insurance policies].

Costco's promotion of such a plan might infer they vetted the company and its coverages but that's never a guarantee.

i think the guarantee is that Costco stands behind everything they sell,, you will not here " oh sorry we just sold it" we dont deal with it....

agreed with your comments above and you will get more competitive pricing , as this is a costco requirement. i would fear the risk of the company (insurance) going out of business before anything else, and there will always be consideration with coverage on repair(s) with any 3rd party entity. thats why i self-insure...

I did not ask for a quote, Once you request some one will call and discuss the pricing it seems. I decided not to go for it.

If you are looking for an aftermarket warranty, I have a buddy at Mercury Insurance who sells a superior warranty for less than BMWNA, PM me if interested!
