My 2010 E60 has ventilated seats. When I press the button (3 presets) the screen with the seats comes up similar to the one with heated seats. I believe I can control intensity and distribution but I will double-check tomorrow. On my 2009 E60 I had to enable the menu (has CCC) with heat distribution and intensity for heated seats.
I can share the .TRC file in case you want try to figure this out. Just let me know.

Edit, I was able to track down the part numbers I want and find photos from ECS Tuning: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/m.../post-13428253

Ok, I got everything working as it should now. I needed to code:
SEATVENTILATIONto aktiv (this enables the feature I believe, so that it can show up in climate settings in iDrive)
SITZHEIZUNG_SLIDER to aktiv (this allows you to see the heating/cooling intensity level, you may not need this if you have separate heating and ventilating buttons) Since I also have active backrests in these seats (which I haven't wired in yet) I needed a button that had seat ventilation and heating all in one switch so it was important to have the level show up in iDrive.
TOGGLE_SEAT_CLIMATE to aktiv (this makes it so that when you press a heating/cooling button that the screen will only come on the display for a few seconds, rather than permanently)
I'm not sure if this was necessary, but I added $453 to my VO in my CAS and LMA units. I doubt it does anything but since I have the feature, figured it should be in my VO.
For anyone else interested in retrofitting ventilated seats, if you're coming from comfort seats it is plug and play. If you have a basic seat you'll have to do some other wiring and I know I've seen comfort seat retrofit threads elsewhere. First I just dropped the new seats in, and then got the new buttons for the dash. Immediately they worked, but I had no display. After I did the coding above it all works as it should now. Next I'll get the active side bolsters working next month.
