As the title suggests, when the cabin heat is running I get a stench of engine coolant from the vents, and it doesn't blow warm air unless the engine rpm is over 2k. I can start it and let it idle for 30 minutes but the air from the vents is still cold, so to get heat I have to be driving. This morning I got a low coolant warning and had to put more in the reservoir.
So I'm guessing the heater core is leaking, but I'm not finding any puddled coolant anywhere. Anyone else with a 550 have this issue? How best to diagnose the problem?

Get under the car, remove the trays and find out where you are leaking.
Water pump, hoses, tank ?

Ya, definitely sounds like something is leaking, look around the radiator there is a seal that in between the heater hose pipes and core,it's hell to get to, but not impossible
