i keep getting a "low coolant" light and wonder what type of coolant goes in our cars? i think i'm just going to top it off and see if that fixes the problem.

also, i replaced my microfilter some time ago, but cannot figure out how to reset the idrive from telling me it's due. can i do this myself or does the dealer have to do it?

Got the same message awhile back. Either temporary fill it with distiller water or just buy BMW antifreeze and mix it, 50/50 ratio but by no mean do not mix the current antifreeze with those Prestone or whatever brand you can find at Walmart. I think BMW antifreeze is around $20.

As for resetting the Idrive for the micro filter, same step as resetting your oil change. There is a YouTube video on this process.
