Very cool. Has he done any drag-strip or meter passes?

I don't think so Zman.I read the thread that vegatrash is talking about, and I didn't see any mention of timed runs.I sure hope he shows up.It will be interesting to see how the 335 performs.
BMW 335i MT 10/06 5.1 13.6 104.3
BMW 335i CD 10/06 4.9 13.6 105.0
It looks like a close race assuming the passes we know about were in warmish weather or highish altitude. Otherwise, you will beat him easily. (just a little trash talk thrown in
) Anyway, he'll be afraid so he'll spin his wheels even if he as fast as you. I hope he reads this post so that he'll know how important it is for him not to spin his wheels a bunch. Really, trash talk aside, over spinning in a manual, as you know, is so easy on a drag-strip surface. Glad I won't be racing you in a manual.

Hey vegatrashed, ask zeroday to bring his 335 to maplegraove on 10-27.I intend to run if the weather is good.Maple grove is only about 1 hour from Wilmington. We can get a direct comparison in a safe manner at the strip.I am not registered on his sight,so I can't talk to him.

WoW so the IS isnt that much slower than the 335...
Apparently it still looks like the IS has some good acceleration in 2nd and possibly 3rd gear... if you look at the 1/4 mile time its close to the 335s but the trap speed is lower on the IS... looks like the 335 catches up quick in the upper end.
Here are time slips for a IS 350.

Whatever, the TV's all are bad--indicating a high (Actual) Weight / HP ratio. Here's what I get when I have rounded up to 8.80--adjusted for weather and altitude, of course.
..............................#1................#2
1/4 Speed...........104.646......105.098
1/4 Time...............13.483........13.497
1/8 Speed............82.785........83.057
1/8 Time................8.766..........8.776
So, the IS doesn't seem to have much higher speed go--which also is consistent with a relatively high (Actual) Weight / HP ratio.

Whats going on vega?It looks like the 335 guys don't want to talk to us anymore.Zeroday was looking for someone near Delaware and here I am.Ready to accomodate him at a safe neutral site. The e90 thread on this subject is completely quiet.

Forget it. I've actually lost interest. I find the E90 guys almost as bad as lexus IS guys... different kind of crowd.
