My Ride: 2008 550I,manufactured 2-27-08,delivered 4-2-08.Platinum bronze,natural brown interior,light poplar trim,cold weather package,heated rear seats,HD radio
Hi all.The weather has cooled down on the east coast so it's time for more testing.
I tried several runs this morning and had to learn my starting method all over again.It seems that I must modify my method several times during the year in order to get the best times.Today the best method was,DTC/DTS off,brake torque to 1200 rpm,release brake and push gas to floor.My best time is:
0-60........5.00
60'..........2.00
330'........5.72
1/8 time..8.72
1/8 spd...81.90
1/4 time..13.43
1'4 spd...104.70
0-100......11.55
Weather conditions as follows:

I am sure Zman will apply the proper correction factors when he has time .I am not sure if the factor will be a positve or negative number.I have a feeling it will be close to zero.
When are you west coasters going to do more testing?

Did some runs this morning at 4:30am. The temperature was about 59F or 54F. I did three launches. My times still are not good. These runs were not at the same location.
1. 5.7 with AA
2. 6.2 w/o AA
3. 5.8 w/o AA
All I have to say is that I carried my g/f in the car which equals about 95 extra pounds.
And, my gas was 3/4 full. Yes, yes... excuses...

Then thats a lot better then... having your G/F AND 3/4 tanks adds to what? extra 200 lbs?
