i will have my 525 2006 in one mounth an d i wondering is the control display use for setting the car like car key for example?

and be specific, so we can help you better.

from my experience, car key settings are not controlled by the i-drive.
the 2 keys retain seat/side mirror/audio/ac auto settings.
i don't have nav, so i don't know if it does anything to that.

Yes it does. The type of map is following the key (perspective, north, etc).

Each key also remembers its last Entertainment, Communication and Climate settings. Quite handy really!
