I am going to France from UK in my 535d Touring (E61 57 Plate)and wish to adjust my beams for continental driving. (Tried this in the E61 forum and only got 3 posts hope the larger E60 might bring up a few more responses.) The car has the visibility package so has Xenon lights and I have located the stopper on top of the headlight unit and on opening it (P145 in the manual) the lever, if that is what it is, (see picture) does not seem to move. Any advice appreciated.

Xenon headlights:

Driving on the left (e.g. UK): push each lever towards the middle of your car. I believe that's where the lever is currently set on your vehicle.

Driving on the right (e.g. Germany): push each lever towards the outer edge of the car.
From page 124, "Rule of the road" in the PDF file 2006_5_Series_Manual_UK.pdf

Halogen lights require a masking film.
