So I just got back from a drive, and decided to hose off some dirt. And then I realize that my headlamp has some condensation, this has never happened before. Is this normal?

Thanks in advance guys.

I'd take a visit to the local dealership since you're under warranty.

That happened to me in my old e39. It was out of warrantee. I took the light assembly out of the car and waited until the light dried. I then took some silicon sealant and ran it around the edges. I put it back in the car - and - no more condensation.

I seem to recall a debate on here regarding whether the light housings were fully sealed or "vented" for some purpose. IIRC, some said condensation was normal, others disagreed. I've never seen it on mine, and would be inclined to run it by the dealer just to be safe (and get it documented). Big help, huh? GL.

You might want to check that all your lights (in the back of the assembly are securely fitted in place.

Take it to the dealer ASAP. That is a $1500 fix. It happened to my car under warranty and the SA told me it would have been a $1500 bill for each side.

Thanks for all the feedback, it went away within 5 minutes. Didn't look like any moisture even got into the headlamp. Will bring it to the dealer, I am sure they will give me some run around about it.
