Compare & Contrast these cars to the E60
BMW has come a long way. However the growing presure in the automobile industry brings about a dimensional presure on what direction auto makers should go. Some of us have the E60, some don't for various reasons. What car in the list below will you wish BMW borrowed some concepts? Take your poll and give us some comments on the exact additions and modifications if any.

BMW is heading in the right direction themselvs... they dont need to borrow anything. What they need to do is do better on thier software and include more toys as standard. Nothing out of the ordinary...
What pops to mind is.
- HD for music. or Memory slot.
- Add a Reverse camera along with the PDC. I like the sound. its more accurate than just looking at a screen.
annnnnnd thats about it... I think... what other stuff do other manufactures have that BMW doesnt?
Oh and honda accord??? Pleeeeeaaaaase...

First of all, I'm not an "official" e60 owner because I ordered an '07 530i and will pick it up in early August. BUT, I can comment on features on the new '07 ES 350 I test drove with my Dad this past weekend.
I agree with EBMCS03 that a rear camera would be nice. I also think comfort access should come standard these days, especially given that the start button is already there. Two more things I liked about the ES 350 (this is also the case for other Lexus cars):
1. The touch screen nav system - it seems easier to manage than the iDrive nav interface
2. The 6 CD changer right in the dash (you load all the CD's through the same slot)
The new ES 350 is actually pretty fast and composed at high speeds - of course, it corners like our minivan.

Are you with the African Gallup or something Ghana man?
Too many polls!
Audi A6 and M-B E are competion for the 5-series.
Runnersup are Lexus GS and the new Volvo S80...
Try to do your Gallups more intelligent, please!

The E60 iDrive give a hell of a lot more freedom. And who says that the Lexus / Toyota Nav system is intuitive... its not! I cant find settings for my phone book very easily... I cant find the delete point of interests page without going to the wrong place serveraltimes... I cant find the edit addresses in one try. Honestly... BMWs layout is better. and no its not because I have had the E60 longer. It honestly is better. Theres a hiearchy thats listed on the top part of the screeen for the E60 so you know where you are and things are grouped better in the iDrive than Lexus "5th Genreation Nav" I mean its not bad. but I dont see the rave and I dont see the complaint on the E60. People clearly have a mind set that BMW technology is inferior to Lexus which isnt the case.
But of course Lexus has more toys that comes standard and is very nice.
2. No bid deal. Personally I insert 6 CDs and dont touch it for a while... I dont mind the magazine in the glove box... there is a single CD slot for the E60 for occasional use of one CD
So Ya... Lexus isnt all that... can anyone tell I'm still a BMW Fan?
