According to Kelley Blue Book, you should be able to sell it to a private party for $35,960. Although I feel for you having to get rid of it, I don't know how much sympathy I can give to someone who drives a 97, bl/bl Porsche 911, you lucky dog. This would be like someone who was dating Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz at the same time and wants us to feel bad that he has to give one up but keep the other.

Seriously though. Bummer that you have to drive an Impala.
A 2008 535 will be able to sell for way more than $36,000 I believe.

I really have no sympathy for you and it mostly stems from my jealousy. Good day, sir.

It's only 30k. That's not that much. Plus it has Sport Package.

And we're talking like literally 98% Interstate miles here. The wife has a new Suburban, and we take it everywhere. The 535i has very rarely even seen a parking lot...and if it has, it sits WAY out by itself...thus...why the wife and son refuse to take it anywhere...we always have to park so far away. This car pretty much sits in the garage all weekend, drives to work and back Mon - Fri...that's it...except to back it in the driveway to get a bath.

I really do appreciate the different opinions on pricing...high and low...thanks guys.

Wait, if its only worth 30k why the hell would they make you sell it? Just to buy an Impala for 30k? WTF? Makes NO sense.

They are not making me sell the 535i....they are giving me a company Impala. Already having the 911, there's really no way for me to justy keeping the 535i....so I am making the decision to (probably) sell it. I don't need TWO really nice weekend cars. Does that make better sense? BTW, the 30K is the miles on my 535i...it's the price if I sell it, that I am trying to decide on.

I would get the company car and try to sell your 535 and just park it until someone pays you what you want for it - even though the market might be soft, there will always be a buyer.
Or, you can sell your 911 and keep the 535 as your weekend car.
