When you brake you usually let your foot off your brake before you comes to a complete stop in order to make the car stop smoothly without a jerk. Comfort brake does that for you they say, but I have tried it on a E90 and my foot works better than the system. Upgraded dsc is just a newer version of the dsc don't really know what they upgraded?

The new DSC+ system (on six-cylinder models - standard DSC on four-cylinder models). Effectively an evolution of the familiar DSC traction control system, DSC+ offers a range of benefits, including Brake Standby that pre-tensions the brakes when the driver quickly removes the pressure from the accelerator pedal.
Soft Stop is also incorporated which modulates the brake application to prevent the nose of the car from 'diving' when traveling slowly.
Also included in DSC+ is a Start-Off Assistant that uses the clutch to prevent the car from rolling back on a hill-start and a brake detector that ensures the disc's are kept dry and responsive on wet roads.

You maybe right, sometimes don't mess with a good thing (link below about related to soft stop / comfort brakes).

HEY! It's a DRIVING machine...not a driven machine.
Soon the accelerator will be intelligent and not allow flooring it if you are in stop and go traffic.
In the future radar will be standard and not just for cruise control then, when the car thinks you are following too closely, it brakes for you, or if you are approaching an object too quickly it brakes more than you already are.
If you are driving too fast in the rain or icy conditions determined by sensors and the wipers, it rev limits the engine to keep the speed down.

Safety is important but those are 'features' not requirements. Make them an option to order on the car for the elderly doctor or lawyer.

It's funny you mention all these...I read an article that BMW (& other car manufacturers) are working towards V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) communication system. The car will 'back off' or alert you when approaching too close (even from left/right) to another car...the goal is to create a 'accident free' environment. Then they say the material to make cars can be lighter to save on gas....(that is, if we still use gas by then..
