My Ride: 2006 BMW 530I
Model Year: 530i
Default Coding Procedures: NCS Expert

Hey guys,

I want to be able to open/close my windows via fob for my 2006 530i.

According to my research, these are the procedures:

1. Start NCS

2. Click “File

3. Click “Load Profile

4. Select “Default Profile” and click “OK”

5. Click “F1 VIN/ZCS/FA

6. Click “F3 ZCS/FA f. ECU

7. Select Chassis (E60) and click “OK”

8. Select “CAS”and click “OK”

9. Check vehicle VIN number is correct and click F6“BACK”

10. The Check display should say “get coded”. Click “F4 Process ECU” to select individual control unit to be coded.

11. Select “CAS”and click “OK” to code for open/close windows via FOB

12. Click “OK” again when you see the “Enter SGET data” window.

13. Check display says “get coded” and selected control unit is displayed. Click “F3 Execute job”.

14. Coding ended” appears when coding is completed.

15. Exit NCS Expert by clicking the “X” in the right top corner of the last window and you are done.

For the experts/experienced coders, can you please confirm if the aforementioned steps are correct?

Thanks!

Attached is a link for your reference if you decided to give it a try. Please proceed with cautions! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...CNPs2ucN#gid=0

Mine is a little different. After i read the ecu I delete the net file and open my shortcut folder on my desk top. Change the FSW_PSW_TRC to a .man and save all files. Open the man file make changes save as FSW PSW.MAN all files close it go back to nc expert and select SG_CODIEREN then execute job.

Thanks for sharing, Tony!

What kind of fob do you have? Is it the older version with diamond shaped handle? Which button do you push to open/close the windows?

You hold lock for the windows to roll down, and open for them to go up. I makes no difference which key you have, or fob.

After you haven choosen the ECU to read and the one you want to code, you'll head for ur workfolder and rename the .TRC to .MAN before editing, and YES to accept replacement of .MAN. After the edit, you should hit save. Close window.

Head for NCS and just choose SG_CODIEREN and afterwards hit F3 Execute job.

Even an easier way

F2- Have your experienced friend come over
F3-Crack open a few beers
F4- Sit back and watch him code while you drink your beer!
