Default Coding DME without Autologic, possible?

Would that be possible without Autologic?
I`m swapping the SMG on my 2004 530i with a 6 speed manual transmission.
I know i have to do some coding after that.
Any ideas?

You can code via NCS Expert and a USB/OBD cable... I'm not familiar with transmission swaps, though.

I got all the parts i need for the swap. I`m just waiting for them to arrive from ECS....(1 month now).
Is not that hard.
The coding is the hardest part.
I got INPA and another program (cant remember the name)....would that do the trick?

I believe INPA is for battery registration and testing that your cable is good (solid connection). I have INPA, NCS Expert, and something else... There's also BMW Coding Tool (which I couldn't get to work, it's basically NCS w/ a pretty GUI that streamlines coding).

I'd start here: BMW Coding - E90Post - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

There's also BMW Coders: BMW INPA Ediabas installation guide + software - BMW forum. Diagnostics, coding, programming, repair BMW vehicles.

If anyone is interested , I know someone who can help and programs remotely and does DME work and fixes idrives/ navi's ..
When it comes to coding and programming its wise to let an experienced coder /programmer handle it . Because you can real easy screw things up if your not sure how to .. He's kool people ,, Im sure he can also answer any questions when it comes to that stuff ..
