Clutch pedal squeak
#1
Well, the clutch pedal on my 545 is starting to develop a squeak when I release the pedal. Just like my E36.
Does BMW have a real fix for this or will the dealer just spray some lube on the pedal bushings--likely to last a couple of weeks before the noise comes back.
If not, I guess I'll have to have and independent install a set of UUC bushings. I doubt a dealer would do the job and I can only imagine what they'd charge.

On my E36, the dealer lubed the pedal a number of times, and the squeak always returned within weeks, if not days. The UUC bushings were a good solution. I was hoping that by now BMW had come up with a proper fix for the problem--it seems to run across the model range.
As a sidebar, I'm not a big fan of WD-40 as a lubricant. It tends to attrack dust and not really last very long. (For most applications, I like Boeshield T9)

Sorry for the stupid question: what do you mean with "UUC bushings"?
