Clutch noise

Hi All,
Getting a noise that stops when the clutch is depressed (when car is stationary). To me it sounds like a release bearing but the dealer says "when have checked another car and they must all do it". This is my 5th BMW and none of them have done this!
Once the car is in gear and moving I think I can hear a kind of grinding noise until the speed/revs build up, I can hear in both 1st and 2nd, might be there in other gears but road noise probably drowns it out.
Anybody else having the same issue(s)?
Thanks
Ken

my car has clutch noises as well, I too thought it is normal. Because my motorcycle has open dry clutch cover and the noise is identical, just that my E60 is muffled to almost quiet. i would presume E60's soundproofing isn't enough but mechanically fine. correct me if I'm wrong.
