Clutch with clicking feel question
#11
I'm with BMW of North America, LLC. I've passed this message on to a BMW NA Customer Relations Representative who will be in touch with you soon.
Thank you, I had a person by the name of Sophia From BMW Call me and suggested me to bring in my car to have it checked out. She reccomented BMW of Manhatten, but they were all booked up and didn't have a loaner available.

Hi, I'm new to the E60 forums but have found them helpful since I purchased a 2005 545i 6spd. My clutch is similar to yours. About a third of the way in when you engage or disengage the clutch you can feel a click in the pedal. The clutch doesn't slip and the gears shift smoothly, but I've never had a manual transmission car that has a catch like this. Unfortunately, since I've had the car for the last month a squeak has developed when I engage the clutch. The car has 13,000 miles on it and I am already dealing with worn out front tires, (couldn't see the wear on them because unlike normal cars and tires, the abnormal wear on the dunlops is on the inside only), and now I may have a large dollar clutch issue also. I'm open to any suggestions about what to do.

I had a squeak at the cluch pedal too. I just removed the panel under the steering wheel to have access to the entire pedal and generously put cycling chain oil all over the upper part of the pedal : squeak has gone !
