So, all of a sudden I was driving to work today and I heard some rattles coming from my instrument cluster area.
I'm driving home - same rattles!

It's driving me crazy!

What's causing this and what's the fix guys!?

Are you sure it's the cluster or the volume and other buttons on the steering wheel? Next time you hear the rattles, touch the buttons to see if it stops.

Take out the cluster and take a drive. I doubt it's your cluster....the accoustic effect is amazing in BMWs. Make sure it's not the metal spring-loaded thing hitting the sunroof glass. Took me months to track it down. Searched everywhere.

My cluster didn't rattle but it would creak every once in a while when it was cold out.
I pulled the cluster out and took some velcro adhesive dots and stuck about 5-6 of them around the outter edge of the cluster and put it back in
No more creaking
