Cluster dead E60 520d pre lci
I recently swapped my 95ah lead battery for a 105 ah agm battery. highest available option for agm in ncs dummy was 80ah agm for my car. so I coded it to 80 ah agm. Few days later my cluster suddenly died as I was checking some fuses because the boot light wasnt working.
My cluster is dead. I removed the mass from the battery over night and thought this would solve the problem with the cluster. It did not. Now when I diagnose the car with ista or inpa it will say mileage is 660k kilometers, which is not true. it is 365k kilometers. I purchased a digital cluster from aliexpress and will wait till it arrives. Any solution? EDIT: I know for sure the cluster is dead and all the fuses in the glove box and trunk have been checked and they are fine |
So, all was well up until you replaced the battery? What does the charge histogram show?
|
Are you the original owner? I can't see that happening by just changing the battery and coding it. Do you mean you coded it with NCSexpert? Are you sure you just coded the CAS and nothing else or made the correct changes to the .man file and coded it back
|
Im the original owner. Cluster went suddenly dead. I coded it with ncs expert(.man file) and registered the new battery with ista d.
|
So, was it fine before you changed the battery? Why did you need to code the cluster?
|
i bought a new cluster and it did not turn on. What is wrong with my car? Fault memory says no communication possible with instrument cluster. Bad cable? fuses are all ok.
|
please help me

You could possibly have a setup issue.
I do not know coding. I usually just pay someone (not the dealer) to code. |

I do not know coding. I usually just pay someone (not the dealer) to code. my fault memory has some codes: 93AD KGM Micro Power Module no power supply s0119 No communication possible with instrument panel please help me. I also tested the 18pin cable which connects to the cluster. I tested every pin and none of the pins gets power. |
There are many possibilities it could be is what I mean. BMWs are complex, so it's not just, oh, it's always this one part. Your comm issue alone can be due to quite a few things. What did you mean by you "coded it with NCS Expert"? Provide details please. @seanjordan20 and myself have asked you questions yet you did not provide details. You need to help us help you.
