What is a "Clown Nose"?

I think the Forum could use a glossary for those of us who haven't been around so long.
Its the bright red thing above the clowns mouth!

I have the exact same problem and I didn't get my car washed,(detailed), Everything checks out through the I Drive but it still doesn't work. Called the dealer JMK BMW and they said it has to be reprogramed. Got a appointment for the 29th of Nov. At the same time they are going to upgrade the software to correct to passenger air bag problem.
cheers
vern

My dealer is also JMK in Springfield.

I believe the clown nose is the red bulb under the rear view mirror.

Does anyone know what it's real name is? My friends and I have always called it the "clown nose".

thanks,
Argent60
