So i was parked out the front of a restraunt while a mate ran in to get our order and some idiot going well over the speed limit changes lanes to avoid a turning car and hits my mirror with his. I jumped out the car to try and get his number plate but i had no chance, he was well into the distacne. Unbeleiveably he only just clipped it and once i rubbed the white paint off there was a not even a scratch. A couple more millimetres and my mirror would have been rocketing through the air at a hundred miles an hour.....some times god is on your side......or is he.........it would have been one way to justify new M5 mirros to my wife.......maybe the big guy upstairs was trying to do me a favour

My Ride: 2011 F10 535i -Brilliant Graphite/Oyster 2006 E5004matic- I must have been on drugs when I got this car 2004 545i Black Sapphire/Truffle Brown interior

I had a similar experience during the winter after a big snowfall, big snow banks on the street made the street I was parked on very narrow.
Came out at the end of the night and the first thing I see is my drivers mirror pointing to the front of my car with the mirror glass hanging by it's wires.
Needless to say after loosing at poker that night I was not a happy camper. Turns out these mirrors are pretty resiliant. I bent the housing back and it snapped back in place and I then snapped the mirror part back in and everything worked fine including my heated mirrors. Just turned my car back in after lease end and received my deposit back from BMW.
