Climate issues
So I have one of the more rare errors with my E60 I believe, I have the exact problems as described here:

Was planning to replace the evaporator temperature sensor as it seems a faulty one does some of what is actually broken with my climate system (sudden changes in temperature) However, does anyone know where to find this one?

Believe you might have to remove the center trim piece and the CCC unit behind it. There is a you tube clip on removing the CCC. I have pulled my CCC unit to have the navigation system repaired couple years ago. Not a bad job.
Take a look at this site, bmw navigation radio cd changer repair
Go in and look at the e60 segment. There is a link to the you tube vidio on removing the CCC unit. Believe this may put you where you want to be for the temperature sensor #3.
Have you read the error codes for the HVAC system? A good OBD BMW specific code reader, like Carly for BMW or one of the laptop software packages should give you a clear picture of what is wrong, be it sensor # 2 or #3 that is bad. Could even be a restricted thermal expansion valve restriction.
God luck.
