My Ride: 2005 545i with Sport Pkg, Nav, HUD, Cold Weather Pkg, Rear Shades
I just received notification of a class action against BMW for mal-function of Air bag indicator on front passenger seats. Only MY 2004 and 2005 upto March 31, 2005 cars with Multifunction seats without climate control (don't understand this part), or cars with Sport Seats are included.
Anybody else receive this notification??

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.
Problem fixed last month by local BMW Service!

I had a restraint system faulty error message, and the description included all restraints and safety systems like seat belt, air bags, etc. Brought it to the dealer, turned out that some electric alternator or something like that was fried, and somethign with air bag sensors and seat sensors being fried too. Dealer replaced it all under warranty. The other day it came on again, but didn't come back after a restart.

I didn't get the notification (haven't checked the mail as of yet) but I did bring in my car for service because the "passenger airbag off" light would not turn off when I had an adult passenger in the front seat. The problem is gone now after the car was serviced.

I got it and I'm joining it. I brought the car in 3 times for this problem and it was never fixed properly. I now know why. There's no cost to us and we could reap some type of benefit from this. Cant hurt to join if you do qualify.

i haven't got any letter, but on my passenger side, on the top , there is a light for the air bag sometimes i goes on sometimes its off, is that the problem you guys are referring to, because i don't know what's wrong with the airbags, i don't have any error message except that light is on sometimes even with the passenger sitting down and sometimes it will go off, if that is not the issue then i can't join you guys.

I refuse to participate even though I am eligble. These lawsuits designed to primarily enrich greedy lawyers. Any other benefits are secondary to lining their pockets.
