Sorry if asking a question regarding this topic is like beating a dead horse, but ...

I just picked up my (new to me) 2006 E60 530i ... 03/05 build with navigation. I have seen the service bulletin stating the upgrade for MP3 is indeed available for any E60 built from 03/05 on with navigation; it just has to be updated, and the "retrofit" option selected for MP3. My stealer, however, is denying they know anything about it, and claim they have updated the software, however I am still without MP3 capability; on top of that, it doesn't even play some original (not burned) CD's!

What can I do? Is there any way I can check (probably not, unlike the E38 and E53's), what version software I have in the car?

Thanks in advance, all!!

It would be nice if you had a sig.with the options you have and where you are from that way you can get your questions answered better.

Your dealer will have to tell you the version number. Why not take the copy of the service bulletin, as posterd here, to your dealer?
