seems like CIP 20 is available since tuesday/wednesday this week according to some postings in german forums - can the experts here confirm this?

it is a shame, as my car only got cip update on wednesday - probably a day too early for the new release

Yes I just spoke to BMW service and they confirmed that CIP 20 is here since yesterday and MP3 is available. They have loaded the software since yesterday afternoon but have not yet test it

I know I do not have 20. Have an 06 w/ Oct 2005 production and I have mp3 capability. I have had problems w/ mp3s making skipping sound and then they go to the next song. Almost as if the disk was scratched or dirty.. But disk is fine. If i take it out and put it back in it works better. Seems intermitent but happens daily.

How do you find out what CIP version you have? My car was built Nov. 8, 2006 and the MP3 works fine.

Edit: 2005 not 2006.
