OK, I'm sure that someone has said so by now, but you probably mean CIP. And, I'd bet that someone has explained what CIP means by now--roughly, the type of software update that is done frequently to make something on the car work better. Glad you are here.

I am new here, I?m from Madrid, Spain, and I haven?t introduced myself correctly. I have a 2005 - 535D.

CIP is Coding, Individual, and Programming. It's a program running on new BMW cars such as new 3,5,6, and 7 series. I might miss some. New version, BMW calls it Progman.
