Read the descriptions very carefully.
I have heard that some traders are just selling strips of plastic chrome that you cut to size and slide over the black slats.
The plastic chrome strips are of the type that used to be used to cover body joints on older cars. For example the roof to body joint on the original shape Mini's (also the wing beading).

I haven't purchased or seen any of these, so I can't comment on what they look like, just be aware of what you are paying ut for!

Yes, I bought one from ebay for around $95 (incl shipping from US to UK). I don't have a picture yet to upload but it's just like the one that PoleApart has fitted which I like. As he says it is much more pronounced than the stock OEM item and the shape of the surrounding chrome frame is thicker in parts but I really like that look compared to the chrome OEM version and the latter by comparison looks quite bland and even boring IMHO. The E60 as a whole is a bold concept and as such does not deserve a bland grill for a face in the same way as it would have suited the much more sober and less avant garde E39.

It is top quality, relatively easy to fit and much cheaper than the OEM grill - so it's win win win all round for me.

I wouldn't go for the horrible 3/6 series style grill from ebay though which is a stick on affair which fits over the existing grill to give the mustache effect which just doesn't suit the lines of the E60  :
