Mine too but with the 520d (4-cyl) now in the market, BMW decided to provide all other models with a chrome gril. I may decide to change mine.

No. I have a 545. But I hate chrome, so I got the Sport Package with Shadowline Trim.... and I had my kidney grille surrounds painted body color.

And LOL @ "something being wrong with gay"

You're just not up on the latest slang terminology, that's all.... gay doesn't just mean homosexual anymore. It's now a slang term, similar to the 1980's term "lame".

Example.... In 1985 someone may have said "Chrome is so lame." It doesn't mean that chome can't walk... it meant that chrome was out of style.

In 2005..... no one says "lame" anymore... now they might say... "That is so gay." and it means the same thing.

LOL @ this:

Taken from Wikipedia:

"Gay" as a pejorative
When used with a derisive attitude (e.g. "that hat is so gay"), the term "gay" is purely pejorative and can be deeply offensive. The derogatory implication is that the object (or person) in question is inferior, weak, effeminate, or stupid.

This usage has its origins in the 1990s, when homosexuality was widely known about but still taboo. Today, the usage is common among young people, who may or may not link the term to homosexuality, much as some people may not intentionally link the term "jew down" (to talk down in price) to Jewish people, or "I was gypped" (I was cheated) to Gypsies.

Other spellings, such as "ghey" and "ghei", are sometimes found on the Internet and are supposedly used either to insult without reference to homosexuality or to bypass chat room censors. See also: fag.

Example in use: "Man, these seats are so gay. I can't see anything from here."

Bottom line:

As I've said before, we're not going to censor people here, unless it's spam, clear trolling, or very abusive behavior.

If someone says something in passing that's not intended to be offensive, let it slide. Conversely, if you can avoid offending people with what you write, that would also be a good thing, yes?

We have people here from all over the world and all walks of life.

Get chrome grills Shiny - then you could be "the only gay in the village"

I notice you have the variable opening slats behind your grill and I don't. As we're both in the UK I'm well fu*king confused now on this rad slats issue!

hahahaha, nice quote, although my name is not Dafydd Thomas!

Perhaps my slats are part of a Welsh option pack - keeps the sheep sh*t out of my engine?

I think slats only available with petrol engines IMO. No doubt our friends from across the pond will clarify that
