As with anything, opinions differ. As "controversial" as the designs may be, BMW is selling record numbers. I, obviously am biased, I love the design and the car, but the sales figures don't lie.

Some of those who signed the petition are now E60 owners.? Bangle said in an interview.? "Almost everyone likes the new design.? Some people just know they do yet"? or words to that effect.? He was right.? I have had several people tell me they balked at the new styling when it first came out in the 7er.? I did too.? But they now love the E60s style.

Everyone who has purchased an E60 has already signed a "petion" in support of Bangle and all the other designers.

I bought mine in late 2003 so I had a choice of the E39 or E60. Guess which one I chose?

people don't like the e60 design must be buick lovers . they are into the conservative, non-exciting, plain, boring looking cars . i love our e60 !

I don't know. I was just trying to say that I am aware that many people, Diehard E39 owners were just in a viscious uproar over the new car. Some of them now have E60s in their stables or are considering buying one. Bangle was right. They liked the car, just didn't know it.

As an Architect and someone who enjoys new cool designs, I liked the e60 from the get go. I had reservations about the headlights. Now I would not change anything about the car, including the headlights. In my opinion it is incredibly beautiful. After 6 months my wife says that I talk about it too much. She acts like she is a little bit jealous of my car. Oh well. I can't help myself.

"Bad art looks good at first, then get boring". E60 is the other way around, don't you think? Just like the Z3, it looks fantastic when it first came out. Now it looks dumb IMHO.

I love the new stylings, but i hate the infamous "Bangle butt"

The 3/4 angle on the Bangle Butt on an E60 is actually my favorite view of the car. I don't know why people call it generic. I think it's proportions are sumptuous and voluptuos and it's stance, agressive and purposeful. I love it regardless...but it doesn't hurt when teenagers give me the thumbs-up and passersby do the double-take to admire the car!
