I was inspired by w8pmc's post about his experience with DMS tuning software on his M5, and his note that DMS may now be in the States.
It turns out that DMS Automotive has a representitive located in the Chicago area. His name is Phil and he is the father of the owner, Robert (who, by the way, owns an E60 M5). The best part is that he comes to you home or office and performs the installation in about 90 minutes.
I found out they have a re-mapping for the 550i and the price to Chicago area owners is $1,200. It's an additional $750 for him to travel out-of-state for installations.
The tuning boosts the 550i BHP from 367 to 405 and torque goes from 362 ft-lbs to 398.
Several of our fellow forum members in the U.K. have performed these upgrades on their E60s and they cannot recommend DMS enough.
"DMS is just in a different league."
"The difference is nothing short of staggering."
"You will be blown away."
I'm sold. I may jump on this sometime in the next 4-6 weeks.
katheikia is looking for a group buy in the NYC/NJ market area too.

You'll not regret it.

I've been out in Rob's DMS E60 M5 a couple of times & thought it was awesome, but needless to say my M5 now has the exact same mapping his does so i'm a happy teddy.
