Check up service light?

Guys, what do they actually check in this service? It says it will be due in 12k but can I just reset the light in Idrive and not worry about it or is there something important I will get charged an arm and a leg for? Anyone know this one?

It's a picture of the car up on two bars signifying a lift!

your cars check service light is on and there is literally a years worth of mileage on it before its due?

Maybe you're (almost) due for a brake fluid flush - the car will display the sign you mention each time you start it.
