Well I tried it but the sound was "dull" with bass to max and treble to min. So now I have bass and treble at 75% and it sounds better to my ears. I have no idea what sort of stereo/speaker combination I have. There appear to be 4 large speakers (one in each door) a tweeter in the top of each door and one in the centre of the dash.
cheers

You probably have subwoofers under the front seats as well. In that case you have the HiFi speaker sets.
This is correct.
The standard Business radio only has 6 speakers:
2 in front doors, 2 subs under the front seats and 2 on the rear shelf

Or does this automatically upgrade the ICE too?

In EU, doesn't BMW offer a "Hi Fi Speaker Upgrade"?

The speakers themselves can always be upgraded to better aftermarket ones,
but I wouldn't life my home KEF Q speakers in the car

Actually the Business systems sound OK, but they are not even close Logic7.

In my opinion the Hi Fi speaker system comes with another (better) amplifier as well.

This is the point I was seeking clarification on.

Indeed. So you can actually have a Business Radio with more than 6 speakers - the HiFi System (which is standard in USA).

Part code 676 "HiFi speakersystem", costs 454 Euro taxfree overhere (830 Euro with the Finnish car tax).
The Professional radio is needed for the Logic7 and Individiual Audio.
