This is Chateau. Unfortunately, the sun was too bright plus I did not override cameras auto settings so the Chateau shows a little more red than it really is. The portions in shadow are a little closer.

Forgot to mention. On BMWNA site the redish for a E60 is Auburn, not Chateau. Chateau is an E63 color, at least for US Spec cars

My Ride: E39 525d, orient blue with beige interior. Planing on getting an E60 535d next summer when my lease on my E39 is over :)
I dont understand, it was exactly the same color interior as in the 645ci in the picture above! Anybody in europe have seen that?

The car was maybe retrimmed by an interior trimming company. I have a friend who bought a silver grey 530d in September 03. He had it retrimmed in Tanin red (E46 colour) leather by a specialist in London. I thought it look great (car had black cloth interior on delivery so the effect was the same as the auburn interior i.e. only seat facings and door cards were red leather). He didn't like it and had it redone in black leather. Unfortunately we didn't take any pics.
