Just a quick question.

Would changing tires at my local shop void warranty on my BMW?
Also, would changing tires to other brand (not-recommended by BMW) void the warranty?

Thanks alot!

1 - Nope - just make sure the local shop you use doesn't screw up your wheels....some of them don't have the experience with run flat tires or tpms sensors.

2 - Again, no. However if you are leasing, you may be required to return the car at lease end with the same type of tires that came with it brand new.

No. And no. Many have switched tires, I infact put PS2s on though it was done at my dealer. Still, no questions asked about the brand of tire...

To reinforce - if your car is a lease you are required to turn the car in with original runflats - or you'll be charged accordingly. I had replaced my runflats with PS2's which caused a problem at return (which I didn't realize in advance). I ended up buying the car anyway so that is one way to work around it.
