The owner's manual shows a pretty simple process for changing the bulbs for the standard headlamps. The Xenons, however, are supposed to be replaced by the dealer due to high voltage, etc.

Does that answer your question?

I've replaced my xenons previously. Its really difficult as you will have to remove the bumper first in order to reach the screws for the headlight ass'y. Headlight ass'y has to be removed in order to replace xenons due to space constraint.

AFAIK, the entire headlight asembly would need to be removed to change the xenon lamp

There is simply not enough room behind where the holder is supposed to be.

And, in order to remove the headlamp assembly, the bumper has to be removed so that there is access to the screws

How did you manage? You must have pretty small hands. I couldn't reach the bulbs even though I was able to remove the protective covering. I therefore turned to the dealership and was instructed on how to go about doing it - unofficially
