changing gear lever leather cover

im thinking of changing the gear lever leather cover, i have biege leather interior but the gear lever cover i have is black, so i'd like to change it to biege.
any idea how much that costs with labor and everything?!

this is the link for the part number and how much it costs. but its saying +core, what does that mean ?
does mean returning the one i have on now?!

mine is '04 530i

Don't know what they mean by +core but I replaced the leather shift knob with the wood knob I ordered through the dealer. It simply pulls off and the new snaps back in. Be careful when pulling though as it does require some force and folks have been known to smack themselves in face when it finally pops off. The one I got from the dealer was a single piece, no sign of a core or any other extra parts.

+Core means they want the old part back. There is generally a core charge that gets refunded when the old part is returned in 'reasonable' shape.

thanks for the reply, but i meant the leather cover, not the knob itself..
did you change that too?! (its part # 4 in the link i posted)

Sorry, misunderstood the part you were looking for, my fault! No I just changed the knob, not the leather cover. Guess I just wasted your time...

how much did it cost u ?
did u enquire about how much does it cost if u want it installed by the dealer?
