changing a bulb on an e60.

Must be a simple job changing a headlight bulb. At least it was on my e39, just push it in and give it a turn.
Not on the e60, whilst putting in a xenon kit, i discovered how poorly fitted the bulbs are. First off you would have to take the headlight out, dont plan on doing this in 5 minutes cause when you get the 4 bolts out and take the plastic covers off the back you might just get it out.
Now for the worst part, all cars that i have owned have been very simple to change the bulbs. The e60 just sits in and is held in with 2 screws and the bulbs are only held in with the edge of the screws maybe 2mm. How the bulbs dont jump out is beyond me.
Not a good design BMW.
The moral of the story, if one of your headlights goes out in the dark, drive home and fix it later or better still take it to the stealer.
