Default Change spark plugs at 26k miles (2008 535i)

Dealer wanted me to changed this but I say maybe next time. Just curious, do I really need to change my spark plugs at my current 26k miles? The car is slightly over 5 years old, so not sure if age matters? This is my daily driver though.

Damn that iis some low mileage for an 08. Usually the plugs replacement interval for our car is 45k. If you are having no fault codes then I don't see why you would need to replace them at 26k.

+1, if still covered by dealer sure let them but if you have to pay I would wait until 45 or start when have symptoms such as a slight stumble or at least that is what I got (misfire)

Thanks for the info, not covered by dealer, but also don't feel anything yet. It will be DIY if I were to do it but if unnecessary, i am skipping it. The last time i changed my plugs early in my previous 330i, one of the coil went out a week later, so would rather not touch it if I don't have to

the dealer was probably just trying to upsell you on something.
