Thumbs up

I got a letter from BMWNA saying the Roadside assistance will no longer be handled by AAA but we will as of Feb 1, 2008 be serviced by "GE Motor Club"(GE). They say everything else is the same but sent me a new card. This is for all states.

I know there are a lot of AAA service providers around but I have never heard of the GE Motor Club. Is this an eroding of our services? Can we expect the same promptness and level of service from GE as AAA?

Has anyone had any experience with the GE Motor Club? Positive or negative? I feel like I've lost a level of service here and I'm wondering what you all think.

i'm sure they all contact out the towing service to local towers so doesnt matter who the parent company are... if the service is good your area it'll be good... if not it wont...

BMW NA contacts out to AAA
AAA contracts out to local Joe Tow Inc.

Same goes for GE.

BMW NA > GE > Same Joe Tow Inc

This is usually the case...

I see, then AAA just lets them put the logo on the trucks as their local contractor. Same problem though, I've never seen a tow company for GE towing. I guess I am more concerned about services in BFE than in my local area.

I guess if I was asked to pick a nationwide automobile club to provide services for myself and my family it might be one that specializes in that and not toasters and stoves.

Yes, I have been in touch with BMW NA

Since the AAA roadside guys stole my 08 three week old 535 and diverted it to a no name body shop. Seems I was not the only one this type of thing happened to.

My new car is at the VPC in Oxnard and if all goes well I will have it by the weekend.

Good for AAA what goes around comes around !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
