Hate to break it to you. Its not gonna work. If you really want xenon, just buy after market bulb/ballast/cable cancellor and you are good to go.
It is too much work, time, money to install oem projector headlight housing, reprogram, etc.

Why won't it work??? There are members on here that have done it succesfully! Just do a search! It consists of splicing a few wires and connecting a capacitator. No reprogram needed!

I am planning the same retrofit. I know you have to cut the green wire then connect one end to the white and one to the gray. Then put a capictator in between the brown and the yellow wire. Then wire the angel eye wire to another wire. You cannot makethe Adaptive feature work andyou have the level the lights manually. This is what I have put together. There is a post that gives the info in detail. you just have to look for it. When I receive the lights, I will be posting all about it.

It is possible. A good amount of people have done it. The above describes the process. It just takes time and patience.

Good luck and please post some pics when you finish the installation.
I don't know if this will help, but try visiting e90post forum. They have many 3 series owners who successfully swapped their non-projector halogen headlights to oem projector xenons.
