i upgraded from busniess nav to proff nav I didnt need to upgrade the cable to the screen (it does come as part of the kit)

my CCC didnt need to be coded either, yes you do need the fan harness or your fry your CCC. Were doing an upgrade this weekend on another E60 I havent had any probelms before but as stated it may be a year problem...all the ones I fit have come out of 2005 cars.

Yeah thats the guys lol I don't understand why it wont work maybe he wants me to buy a new pro nav from them maybe they make more money that way?

have you got a 06 pro nav in your car how did you get it to work? What guys did you take it to code ?

I think its in the right way i'll have a look

thanks
Mines same as yours a 2003. I had two complete kits, one from a 2005 E60 and one from a 2007 E63. Both work plug and play. Chose to fit the 2007 kit as it has newer software, voice activation works, telematics and I have no issues with the 2009 Disc. The 2005 kit has slightly older software (graphics differ slightly) and no voice input. I haven't had it coded yet. Everything works bar three minor glitches. One being PDC is a 6 series but only the fellow with a keen eye can spot this. Two being the ccc is set for advanced climate which I don't have so I have redundant features. The centre vent works normally for regular climate so I haven't lost any functionallity. Thirdly I don't have electronic oil level, but no issue, It just states oil level control inactive.
To be honest all this I can live with. If I have any issues down the line, I will fit the 2005 kit, get Jason to code it for an the price of a 2007 kit. (He has confirmed the 2005 part numbers are matched to my car)

I have wired in the ccc fan, and used an aftermarket GPS aerial but have had no BMW software updates since 2006 I think CIP 19.

It's all dependant on the programming tool you are using. BMW tools can't do this but I believe Autologic can.
