Hi Guy's

I'm having the same problem as a few others here when trying to reset the service warnings. I have replaced the brakes on my 530d auto (Feb 2006 build) and I have followed the instructions offered in a number of other posts. It just seems to go warning triangle then date unless I hold it down longer at which point I get the last 7 digits of the chassis no (i think) and then German text each time I press the trip swtch again.

My car was last in for service in March and if they did the hardware updates is this likely to have prevented me from being able to reset the service items myself.

Surely there must be a BMW service technician in here that can advise?

It does work, but when you turn the key to "on" press it for 10 secs and get the triangle you then have to press it again to bring up the service options (as other have posted). I tried it a few times before I got it right too, but it worked, I reset my Oil Change interval with no issues.

Maybe I should have said.

I can't get past the warning triangle and into the service menu. I have reset the odometer, held the trip switch in followed all typical instructions as seen on here and BMWland. It just wont get to the service menu and I have no idea why. Tried it for past two days at different times.
