Hello, I dont know if some one has already post about this topic. Tried searched but nothing.

Any ways, its getting cold out and this morning when start the car there sqeaky sound.. but it usually disapear when the car is hot? but not this one... its driving me crazy, when the car is driving around 2000 - 3000 rpm the sqeaky sound comes louder.! ( WTH ) then when rev to 4000 - 5000 its gone. i suspect the tensioner.. What you guys think?

changing the tensioner is DIY-able ?

I have change the V belt last year, its really simple but not the AC belt and the tensioner.

I was informed by a tech from some where.. told me that when change the belts you have to change the tensioner too.

Is that true? I have already order belts.

Dunno if i can change the AC belt my self.

Any one know a good mechanics around GTA? Canada?

Hey bro, I have that same sound. Dealer told me to change the belt first and see if the noise is still there. I know another member from here had the same issue and took it back to the dealer and had everything changed that was involved on the belt. He took his to BMW of Waterloo and this is the place where i will be taking mine. Mine also has noises coming from the lifters where its ticking really loud. He said if it was the lifters then the whole will have to be changed.

Do you still have your extended warranty on it? I think you mentioned at the meet you still did........

Let me clarify. So you do have the sqeaking sound only if you rev 2000-3000, i mentioned because when i idle the car for 20 mins (when it gets hot, and idle 700 - 900 theres no sound at all. normal) unless i rev it to 2000 - 3000. its really annoying cause regular driving rev is 2000 - 3000 and its sqeaking like a !@#!$@%#@ .!

any ways i already order the parts: tensioner , vbelt and ac belt.
Parts ordered now... about the mechanics.. or do it myself if i got time...

99,000kms, SA said it is very common on our cars and have been discussed here on the forum. Just want to change it before my warranty is up.

cchay, do you still have warranty? Check out the link below by local and see if it is the same noise your having. For mine, its exactly the same and has been louder now....

It would be better taking to the dealer and get them done since you will need lift to change them and tools
