Just something I noticed .. and now doing my head in as to whether it is normal or not ??

When car is fully warm and the heaters are set to hottest temp on the dial.. and air is directed to the front dash vents, it just blows out cool air .. not hot air ??

All other positions blow hot air, feet , window ...

Not noticed this before as not used heaters much and now it getting a little chilly ...

Is this normal ?? I know some cars dont allow hot air out of the dash vents .. is this the case on the E60 ?? my E36 never did this and nor has any BMW I come across ..

Thanks

Yas

Go to idrive's climate control. I'm sure the center vents are adjusted to blow cool air. Readjust them as you wish.

With climate set to automatic ,you do feel cool air from the centre vents, but you can go into iDrive to raise the temperature if you wish, for both driver and passenger.

if you have an '08 or newer, the button on the left temp control takes you straight to the center vent menu.
I adjust mine to full warm with the heater on and full cold with A/C on. Spring & summer in Charlotte means adjusting this twice a day.
