Any reader that can read BMW specific codes will show your issue.

There are tons of sections on the code scanner to diagnose . Should I just run a scan on all systems and go through all the fault codes it comes up with 1 by 1 or is there certain components I should run a check on that will be more specific to my issue?

Side note I replaced the battery months back with what I thought was no issues. I did not program the battery. Could this be something I would have needed to do?

I would recommend registering the battery via the scan tool

If you don't register your battery, what will happen is you'll get slightly lower MPG, and your battery will most likely not last as long.

Default Code Scan

So I ran the system scan the day I got the tool and there was a bunch of codes presumably from when the old battery was going dead at least thats what they seemed like. So I registered the battery and cleared the codes and have driven the car around for about a week and ran another scan. The only codes I have are 4 codes for bulbs that are out(both fog lamps, and both angel eyes), and one code in the section (CCC-GW Gateway) The code reads “E18F MOST ring, set point/actual configuration does not match”

I cant find any info on this code. Anyone have any ideas??

Yes, you did the right thing, scan all systems. If you get a ton of codes, clear them and see which ones return. You could have a bad MOST loop.

Do you know of a source where I can get good info on the MOST path and where it starts and what devices it hits so I can pull one at a time in order and check for light coming through MOST connectors

So I traced the MOST through the amplifier and tcu back to termination under glove box and the fiber optic loop is good and illuminating all the way through each component and termination under glove box is good and illuminated. Ive come to the conclusion that my tcu is bad as my bmw assist and voice command system is not operable. Through some research it seems the TCU also handles remote locking which would explain the central locking problem. Would this also cause the alarm not arming issue. And can TCU fail while the MOST loop remains good?? Do you guys think this is my issue and will a new TCU need coding or is it a plug and play replacement?
