Hi - still figuring out the new car and asking a few unsophisticated questions, so please bear with...

Does anybody know what the grille on the center of the roof in front of the main interior and (back) reading lights covers? I'm hearing some rattling/buzzing from there when I'm driving over rough pavement.

It's the motion sensor used for detecting moving object when car alarm is armed.

Thanks - I wouldn't have guessed that at all. It's a pretty large plastic grille for a couple of sensors.

It is large but similar to what I had on the E39. From 6 years of experience with the E39 I have to say the sensors work better than most others out there. So big or not I like getting fewer false alarms.

Interesting I thought it was the cabin filter.
