Center Dashboard Console Question
#1
Novice question probably!
I've noticed through some pictures on the 5 series' interior that there are different layouts of the center dashboard console.
Some have one slot for CD or DVD and some have two slots for CD or DVD.
Why is this so? All vehicles have Navigation in question here!
Also, some have an open compartment below the CD/DVD slot and others have some sort of cover below the CD/DVD slot location.
Why is this so?
Thanks!

Kidding...no not every car has NAV. I ordered my specifically without it. Thus I do not have the DVD slot

Sorry, I was asking about vehicles that had the navigation unit!

Isn't this the difference between business and professional nav?
1 slot = Business Nav, where you can have either Nav DVD OR CD in use but not both at the same time (hence why BMW suggest getting a CD changer with this set up).
2 slot = Professional Nav, where Nav DVD and CD have separate slots, so BOTH can be used at the same time.
