Center dash storage gone?

My Ride: 545i 6-speed Orient Blue/Auburn
I have a 2005 530i and it has a convenient little storage shelf right under the cd/dvd in the center dash. Has this been eliminated for 2005?
If so it seems a pity as there is hardly any storage space now
The space "was" handy for sun glasses or cell phone etc.
The 2005 brochure has the space filled in with wood, too much wood for my taste, would have preferred the storage.

[/quote]Those w/ NAV have never had the storage bin, including 2004 MY. The larger computer for NAV equiped cars is behind that part of the dash.

They should have put the NAV DVD player in the glovebox, and a 6 disc changer in the center dash.
