Default Center channel suggestion

Anyone have a suggestion for a good center speaker? My car is non-logic7 but will soon be adding the JBL MS-8 DSP along with Technic's harness, the speaker Technic recommended is not available any more just wondering if anyone found a good speaker to use, thanks in advance.

Have you considered the factory center channel speaker from the Individual audio system? It is a coaxial speaker, and it is a direct fit. Part 65137838915

Otherwise there are a couple of aftermarket options but not any I can think of that would be significantly better or cheaper.

Thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't considered the OEM speaker, it looks like it runs about $120.

I have logic 7, I thought about buying the BSW center channel for $100 for a little better sound quality. Don't know if it's worth is though they claim it's an upgrade from the factory speaker.

Thanks, the ms-8 dsp and the wiring harness should be arriving this week, the center speaker once I nail down which to buy should take another week or so. I'll then set aside a weekend to tackle it, I'll take some pics, i'll be basing myself on this thread

The answer depends on the situation.

For the OP I recommend using a coaxial center channel because his JBL MS8 will create a center channel high pass signal (containing midrange and treble)

Now lets look at your Logic 7 system. The center channel speaker is an aluminum cone midrange. The signal is a midrange bandpass filter ( midrange only, no bass, no treble ). For this system the BSW midrange woofer is a good option because it's lack of a tweeter is a non issue.
